The Social Security Administration is a public agency, and as such, must publish its information and statistics. This information can be very helpful in learning the tendencies of the hearing office you will be dealing with.
You could attempt to dig through www.ssa.gov to find all the information, but you don’t need to. The website http://www.disabilityjudges.com/ is a clearing house for all kinds of useful statistics for all the ODAR (Office of Disability Adjudication and Review) locations across the country.
Especially interesting are the comments that can be anonymously posted about the Administrative Law Judges. Before your hearing, you can see what the trends at any given ODAR are; after the hearing, you have the opportunity to publish your thoughts and observations on the process. This is a very useful (and sometimes entertaining) tool for claimants.
